The Annenberg Foundation created Alchemy to inspire nonprofit executives to become better leaders. By transforming an ordinary skill or resource into something extraordinary, Alchemy graduates improve the effectiveness of their organizations.
After completing the training program as Board President of Reef Check, a non-profit dedicated saving the ocean reefs, NOVA CEO and President Sue Chen was invited to join the ranks of Community Champions as a co-trainer for the Alchemy Leadership Seminar. “Alchemy’s three-day training is powerful and very much needed. The nonprofit sector is incredibly important in a city with the size and diversity of Los Angeles. We have so many unique neighborhoods, and so many different needs our government can’t possibly provide. Being involved with Annenberg Alchemy has brought me closer to my city and I am inspired by the amazing nonprofits all working to make our city better,” says Chen.
